Convene’s New Product Will Design and Build Flexible Work Spaces for Class A Office Landlords

Convene, a flexible work space and amenity services provider to Class A landlords, recently deployed a solution that will help landlords quickly deliver flexible space and amenities. This latest service follows the Convene WorkPlace product that launched just six months.
While Convene will help design, build and manage the space, the landlords will have control over the economics, tenant relationships and branding.
The partnership forged between landlords and Convene will help build stronger tenant relationships by quickly building amenity services into their Class A assets like meeting space, cafes, concierge services, community programming, health and wellness operations, private clubs and flexible work spaces.
The solution will deliver flexible work space, amenity and services on building owners’ behalf, but in such a way that the product will be co-branded, according to Convene co-founder and CEO Ryan Simonetti.
Convene will endorse and power the solution, but business owners can independently brand it.
Typically when Convene leases office space from a building owner, it will build and design its own co-working space that comprises meeting room or other types of work spaces with amenities. Convene will maintain that model, but its new product will give it another service it can offer landlords and commercial building owners. Currently, when a tenant leases space from Convene, it collects rent from them. This new offering would allow the building owner to receive most of the profits.
“Convene’s managed solutions will allow our landlord partners to easily take advantage of our robust technology package, including our proprietary app, to deliver superior service and access within the full building,” Simonetti told Connected Real Estate Magazine. “In addition, these new locations will enable Convene to scale quickly and offer more locations to our existing members.”
When landlords make the decision to partner or build out flexible space capabilities in-house, Convene’s new solution will help building owners entice and retain enterprise companies and start-ups while simultaneously strengthening their brand.
With Convene providing the design, project and construction management, hospitality operations and built-in technology platform on an accelerated timeline, landlords will be able to respond to their tenants’ increased demand for flexibility in a timely manner.
“Convene is committed to ensuring our landlord partners see added value to their assets through either the Convene brand, or by strengthening their own brand,” Simonetti said.
