IBW Congress Brings Wireless Together

IBW Congress
This week, In-Building Wireless Congress held its annual show at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. The three-day event featured a variety of discussions about in-building wireless trends and technology advancements. Numerous industry veterans and parties interested in the in-building wireless industry attended the show, which covered some of the hottest industry topics, including 5G, Internet of Things (IoT) and Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS).
Over the course of three days, In-Building Wireless Congress offered more than 15 hours of in-depth discussions on the economic, technical, and practical consideration of network densification. Topics on the agenda covered included in-building wireless network convergence, infrastructure investment, accelerating densification with network sharing, funding models for in-building wireless that justify the investment and delivers a return on investment, 5G fixed wireless access, and more.
Featured speakers included David Adams, PCTEL, Inc. Senior Product Manager; Brett Chester, Sitetracker Vice President, Marketing; BroadStaff CEO Carrie Charles; Federated Wireless Vice President of Sales Todd Gore; Geoverse CEO Roderick Nelson; SOLiD President Ken Sandfeld; and Richard Wank, Director of 5G Product Management for JMA Wireless.
Fifth Gen Media, publisher of Connected Real Estate Magazine, was also on hand and hosted a webinar with Brett Chester of the project management platform SiteTracker. The webinar, “Solving the Puzzle of Project Management” covered how management platform experts like Sitetracker can help companies gain insight into finding solutions that help them standardize their processes and enhance productivity.
“While the show was smaller in terms of attendance than it’s been in previous years, there was a lot of value in industry experts getting together and sharing their ideas,” Fifth Gen Media Publisher and CEO Rich Berliner said.
Publishers’ note: Fifth Gen Media will be at the Realcomm conference in Nashville this week and will have a full recap of the event in next week’s newsletter.
