FourFourtyFour building expected to bring 5G speeds to guests and tenants.

Wireless solutions provider Connectivity Wireless recently announced its partnership with Coretrust Capital Partners. Coretrust Capital Partners is a Los Angeles-based private real estate operating company. Together, they will turn Coretrust’s FourFortyFour South Flower tower in downtown Los Angeles into a smart building. The project will complete Coretrust Capital Partners’ $35 million renovation on that building. They had purchased it in December 2016.

When the project wraps up, FourFortyFour South Flower will comprise state-of-the art 5G technology. It will provide the fastest Internet speeds possible and complete cellular coverage.

“Encircling the building like a string of pearls, the new technology ensures uninterrupted cell calls throughout the building from the underground parking garage to our outdoor plazas, restaurants and stores, even the elevators,” Coretrust Managing Principal Thomas Ricci said in a statement. “Furthermore, the Internet speeds are lightning fast and can carry any size document, video or portfolio that tenants may need to send or receive. We can even send large-scale architectural drawings in seconds.”

The new technology will enhance tenant and guests’ cell phone calls, regardless of the carrier network. volume wont affect that, and won’t be dependent on nearby cell towers. The country’s major carriers and Connectivity Wireless are pursuing additional carriers.

“Downtown Los Angeles tenants from law firms to technology creators deserve the fastest and most reliable cellular and Internet coverage available,” Ricci said. “We are very pleased to partner with Connectivity Wireless, the top firm in this critical field, to make our building totally connected in this ‘Internet of Things’ generation.”

Coretrust’s has already brought a number of workspace and wellness innovations to FourFortyFour. A fresh air terrace, aromatherapy, a world class art collection, atriums, restaurants and fitness center. A 12,000 square foot, conference center that features the new smart building technology opens next month.

“Coretrust is forward thinking in its approach to tenant services and deploying this new technology puts FourFortyFour at the forefront of the trend to smart buildings,” Antonpoulos said. Thom Antopoulos is Connectivity Wireless Solutions Chief Revenue Officer.

Antonopoulos also acknowledged that studies show early adopters of technology benefit the most. “This system is definitely a competitive edge for the property,” he said.
